Macallan Concept Number 2 has been matured in a mixture of American oak casks seasoned with sherry, imparting gentle flavors of vanilla, citrus, and caramel. Subsequently, it has undergone a second maturation in ex-bourbon barrels, adding harmonious notes of floral citrus and vanilla.
